Snapshot Review of South Lytchett Manor

South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park has decent pitches and is close to Upton Country Park and the local village to Lytchett Minster.

The amenities block is decent enough, and if you don’t fancy cooking at your van, then why not head down the road to St Peters Finger, a decent local pub

Location of South Lytchett Manor

This Campsite is close to Poole, which has a lot to offer including a harbour and Poole Park.

Sandbanks and the Studland Ferry are worth checking out. What about a trip to Brownsea Island?

More locally, there is Upton Country Park and Lytchett Minster.

Customer Service and Staff

Very nice reception staff. Checked us in with no problems, and changed us to a hard standing pitch on request.

The staff in the cafe area were also helpful, and polite.

Didn’t really have any other dealing with the staff, which to me, is a good thing as everything went well

Showers and Toilets

Typical of a campsite. Functional, and relatively modern. My only minor gripe (and it is minor) is that they don’t have taps on the showers.

You have to wave your hand in front of a sensor. Then you get 30 seconds of water, and you have to wave your hand again.

I understand why, but when you have a face full of soap, you better be sure you know where the sensor is!!

General Cleanliness

I would be massively disappointed if I had to write anything other than ‘Good’ or above.

In this day and age, things are cleaned regularly and well, so things must be pretty poor if the cleanliness is lacking.

South Lytchett is an award-winning campsite near Poole, so you would expect it to be clean and tidy.

Facilities

All the usual, including an indoor and outdoor dishwashing area. The usual Motorhome Service Point. A clean and tidy Chemical Toilet Disposal area.

There was also a laundry room.

The reception had a small shop, with the basics in, plus a small cafe that sold tea, coffee and pastries.

Conclusion of this Campsite near Poole

A decent enough campsite, spacious, relatively close to various places of interest and mentioned above.

Would we return? Probably not, but the is because there is nothing wrong with it.

However, it doesn’t have that WOW factor that would make me return.

But, if you want a decent campsite in a decent area, close to Poole and the surrounding area, then this is the one for you!
