Pumpkin Picking in Hampshire

Here is a Video I made when we visited in 2021.

Arriving at Sunnyfields for Pumpkin Picking in Hampshire

We decided to get there early as we had something else on this day and also wanted to get there before it got too busy.

They have lots of wheelbarrows around for you to borrow. One pumpkin is pretty heavy, so if you wanted to buy a couple, I would definitely recommend grabbing a barrow.

Once inside the place isn’t too big and it is really easy to walk around and see all they have on show.

Sideshows

Max was keen to get picking and chose our first pumpkin virtually as soon as we got in there.

There are some really cool Halloween scenes set up so we took some time wandering around these, keeping one eye on the pumpkins in case we saw another one we liked.

Here are a few of the sideshows, and the things to look at other than the pumpkins!

Our favourite was the smelly diving pool.

Full of rotten pumpkins and they really did smell!

Pumpkin Picking in Hampshire, Sunnyfields Farm Pumpkins

Pumpkins. Pumpkins EVERYWHERE!

As you can see, there are lots and lots and lots of pumpkins to look through and choose ones you’d like to take home.

They were spread out on pallets all around the area.

You could just walk around, and pick the ones you wanted. They also had massive containers full of them.

They had traditional orange ones, but there were also a lot of white ones, and occasionally a red or green one too.

Their website states they will have thousands of pumpkins in the picking field every day to ensure every pumpkin lover has a pick of their favourite pumpkin to take away.

Whatever day you visit, they seem confident that everyone will have a good selection to choose from.

Facilities at Sunnyfields Farm

Asides from the pumpkins and Halloween attractions, they had the usual facilities.

There are of course toilets, and a Pumpkin Cafe, with plenty of seating.

However the cafe was a little disappointing. They only had instant coffee, the sausage bap wasn’t the best I’d ever had, and Max didn’t like his muffin.

I guess it is only a temporary structure for when they do events like this so they don’t really cater for this all the time.

Halloween Pumpkin shop

As you leave, there is a small pop-up shop area, where you can view all other produce they grow, along with teeny tiny pumpkins, if the others are just too big for you!

There is also a farm shop, that Suzanne popped into briefly while Max and me put the pumpkins we purchased into the boot of the campervan.

Summary of Pumpkin Picking in Hampshire at Sunnyfields

If you are looking for somewhere a bit different to get your pumpkin from, then Pumpkin Picking in Hampshire down at Sunnyfields Farm is good fun for all ages.

Definitely worth the £4 entrance, and I think we will be back next year!
